Today I’m launching this experiment in crowdsourced history.
It seems like yesterday that I was walking across the Mass Ave. bridge, excited to show my son the runners. If I close my eyes, I can still smell the smoke and hear the sounds of that day, even if it is sometimes difficult to remember the exact images or chronology.
In the aftermath, I began to realize that we all have stories to tell — whether we were 50 feet, 50 miles, or 5000 miles from the blasts.
This website, and the associated mapping project, is an attempt to bring together our stories as one.
